This retro jacket was created in collaboration with iconic British designer Nigel Cabourn. Inspired by the first ascent of the Japanese Directissima of the Eiger in 1969, its design is taken from a down jacket of the time. The outer is made of durable Pertex® Quantum fabric, a modern, lightweight version of the down-proof fabric used for expedition clothing of the time. Its vintage appeal is enhanced by the embroidered Mammut Garantie logo, the two patch pockets with flaps, and the fleece-lined side-entry pocket. The Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima IN Hooded Jacket embodies the spirit of a pioneering era in mountaineering.
